many folks think that the literati tree is always a slim upward growing one with a small crown. Her we see a cascade or semi-cascade and it is called literati. Probably it is a literati. But it is not really important what exactly one calls a tree. What many call ‘style’ I think should be called ‘form’ of a tree. The literat is, however as ‘style’ It can come in many forms. One of them is a cascade. It can be any other form and still be a literati tree. Literati style is a specific form of the naturalistic bonsai style in my opinion.
You are correct Mr Pall. Many bonsai, including this one, have multiple styles. This would be considered a semi-cascade literati. Thank you for the contribution.

It is a wonderful example of a tree that has more than one style! Thank you for your comment!
